In partnership with Clever Never Goes, ACS is kicking off winter 2019 with a campaign to ensure all school pupils are kept safe both outside of school and whilst spending time at home and in the classroom too.
Every year, poor gas work and faulty or old appliances cause approximately 40 accidental deaths and more than 200 non-fatal cases requiring hospitalisation in England and Wales. Over 4,000 people also attend A&E, diagnosed with CO poisoning.
ACS is delivering useful and fun information to teachers and parents which can be used as part of your school’s Safety Week to ensure that your pupils stay gas safe in their homes.
The main outcome is that a short interactive assembly is given to pupils outlining all the key points, and ACS’s Gas Team will attend to provide answers to teachers and any parents who may be interested in gaining any additional information regarding Gas Safety.
